The modular design of a SlipSki dock canopy will mount to a variety of surfaces. The use of our cantilever design means that our sliding covers can function on a variety of surfaces. We recommend the surface is reasonably flat for best operation and of coarse the smoother the surface the easier it will be to operate.

Although you can mount it to a variety of surfaces it is recommend that concrete or a flat wood dock is used for optimal operation of slide and optimal wind resistance.

What wind speeds will your cover withstand?2023-05-17T13:29:29+00:00

This is the #1 question that we receive and during development this was one or our main concerns. The shape and the construction of SlipSki covers are all implemented to combat high wind speeds and ensure that your custom dock canopy, Car Garage or Hunters Hut will protect your investment in a multitude of harsh environments.

We have attached one of our boat slip covers to a flat bed trailer and exposed it to winds speeds in excess of 70mph for thousands of miles and countless hours without any failures. Please watch the video in our link below to see the kind of stress we exposed to our dock canopies.
